There was reportedly in total only 7,935 of the 1970 280 SL's built, and only 4,992 of the 280SL's were sent to the United States.

This stunning 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda featured here is available in its original color code #180G - Silver Gray Metalic, with Dark Blue interior, and a dark blue soft top. It comes equipped with an Automatic transmission, power steering, original Becker stereo radio, solid steel wheels, with correct stainless steel wheel covers. This car looks to have had one repair and is still in great condition. There are miscellaneous chips on it that don't show that well in our pictures, and the engine bay shows nice, but also shows you that it's a nice driver quality car and not a trailer queen in the six-figure range. This car is equipped with a factory Mercedes service replacement block that was most likely was replaced back when it was new under warranty by Mercedes. The soft top is in great condition with only a couple of minor marks on it. The car is complete with the spare tire, spare tire cover, and jack, full toolkit.
