Every part of this car was either restored, repaired, or replaced with quality restoration parts and OEM parts when available. The restoration took approximately one year to complete and the car now has less than 1,000 miles on it since this restoration was completed. The body was taken off the frame and it was media blasted to bare metal. The same was done to the frame, and it was reassembled with all new brakes, lines, hardware etc. The project was started with a real 242 VIN GTO, that only had 128,000 miles on it at the time. The car is painted in base coat clear coat and then it was wet sanded and polished to the smooth high gloss you see now.
A little past ownership history on the car revealed that the first owner of this car had it for about six months. The second owner had the car for over 42 years. There have been two other owners of this car in the last 5 years.
This car Boasts its original numbers matching engine and original turbo 400 transmission, not bad for a 48-year-old car!
Everything works, no surprises here! Dash lights, turn signals, headlights, tail lights, heat, A/C, power top….It all works as it should. Just sit back and enjoy the ride! This is a beautiful car for anyone to add to their collection.
