One of the most Iconic cars built in the 50's is the 1957 Chevy. It's as American as baseball, mom and apple pie. Classic cars are all about the fun and passion. Some of the nicest classics we feature are those built by folks who invest a large amount of time and money into a project they simply love. And much to the surprise of casual onlookers, most gear head's dream builds don't involve Ridler Award finalists or a prestigious pile of garage floor décor. Instead, they're filled with impressive, well-done cruisers, which wrap modern power, everyday livability and top-notch road manners in about five times the curb appeal of your local showroom special. This awesome '57 Chevy was carefully crafted into a first class head turner during a multi-year, high dollar restoration. Thanks to a proven small block and virtually indestructible driveline, it's now the perfect platform for cross-country road trips. Delightfully vintage and decidedly fresh, this slick 210 is proof that Chevrolet's decision to take a curvaceous fuselage, weld it to a sweeping roofline and decorate it with an ample amount of chrome was an excellent idea. Unlike the exaggerated designs of the late 50s and early 60s, the car's proportions are spot-on, there's appropriate use of trim, and the sharp rear fins that would eventually grow to controversial wings are fully integrated into attractive, slick curved surfaces. Judging by a quick glance at its profile, this 210 post was an extremely solid piece when its high quality, frame-off restoration began. Nonetheless, its body was stripped to bare metal and virtually perfected in a thorough rebuild that included a restored undercarriage and correct GM Satin black paint. There is a book of pictures, and several receipts that will accompany this car to its new owner. Today, this car sits as one fantastic tri-five that creates a one-car parade wherever it goes!

Chic is the name of the game with this clean 210 build, as the car's striking combination of highly polished stainless and subdued gloss black paint readily assimilates to either modern or retro depending on its context. That assimilation begins with a heavy, body-width bumper that props a clean, stainless grille behind a pristine Chevrolet crest and two clear parking lamps. Above that crest, chrome header ornamentation rides between hooded headlights and '57 Chevy-exclusive 'spear bullets and spoons.' At the sides of those headlights, classic tri-five stainless is flanked by traditional fender louvers and dent-free rocker guards. Above those louvers, curvy chrome trim combines with a small, stylized antenna and bright, electric wipers to perfectly frame a factory-tint greenhouse. Opposite those wipers, peaked fin caps highlight '57 Chevy taillights, a second chrome bumper and bare, stainless Flowmaster exhaust tips. Above that bumper, chrome trunk ornamentation reflects a traditional chrome tag frame.

Under this sedan's gently rolled hood you'll find a Blue Print crate 383 cubic inch, bored and stroked V8, which means pure unadulterated power! And although that thoroughly massaged mill looks small in the car's super tidy engine bay, you can rest assured that it has no problem propelling this curvy classic to breakneck speeds. At the top of the block, a chrome, open-element red air cleaner mixes wind with high-octane dinosaurs that stampede through a coated fuel pump, a billet canister filter and stainless fluid lines. Below that cleaner, an Edelbrock 750 jams that perfect air/fuel mixture into an aluminum Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, and into the Aluminum heads. To dress all this all up, a nice set of polished aluminum Edelbrock valve covers. Behind those valve covers, a billet MSD distributor sequences spark between a chrome MSD Blaster 2 coil and loomed red super connector plug wires. Cooling is provided by a aluminum BeCool radiator that's equipped with black, rubber hoses, two Spal puller fans and a matching polished billet over flow support. Charging comes courtesy of a polished Powermaster alternator that, thanks to a trick March pulley serpentine belt system, spins above a aluminum water pump, a chrome-capped Competition timing set, polished A/C compressor, and high quality Classic Performance Products steering components. And spent gases travel from a slick pair of Sanderson Jet Hot Coated headers to large, aluminized Flowmaster exhaust pipes. Aesthetically, this sweet Chevy's fully sorted engine bay is a stylish combination of Satin Black inner fenders, and high temp black. And details like a fresh CPP brake master and chrome brake booster, a simple chrome breather and a quality oil pump add miles and instill confidence!

During its frame-off restoration, this 210's original 'Glide Ride' suspension was removed and replaced with modern Ridetech front suspension level one coil-over system. Then add a Unisteer power steering rack & pinion set up, and 2-inch drop coils at the front. The rear was fitted with new 2” drop leaf springs, and cal-tract bars to help get the traction you need. Above that suspension, rust-free floor pans were, like most of today's best classics, blasted and completely body-matched. Behind the stout small block, a 700 R 4-speed automatic overdrive trans, with a TCI torque converter, that spins a factory, posi-traction rear end that's equipped with a sturdy Auburn differential and big 3.55 gears. Braking is handled by a full set of modern Wilwood drilled and slotted discs that were a logical and easy retrofit. Power flows to the pavement via 17-inch Coy custom chrome wheels that wrap 205/50 front and 235/60 rear Kumho Solus radials around fresh chrome spokes. All of the car's lines, hoses, brackets and fasteners, which were completely replaced at the time of restoration, show little to no weathering. And everything from this Chevy's polished front end to its new fuel tank is fully sorted and ready to hit the road!

Featuring a stunning array of black and burgundy accents, this tri-five's custom-fitted interior is both clean and impressive. As you open the door, the smell of fine leather from the door panels and headliner engulfs your nostrils. At the center of the car, black-detailed seats wear a striking combination of style and vinyl skin that's flanked by sturdy, modern seat backs that fit you comfortably, along with a set of seatbelt solutions 3-point front seatbelts to hold you snugly in the seat. On the doors, two-tone silver and burgundy red panels, which are full custom, hang nice new chrome handles, stainless trim and simple armrests below glossy silver toppers. At the floor, fresh black carpet centers a chrome B&M shifter between nice floor mats. This interior is made complete by adding trick power windows (using original window handle), power locks, and some ice-cold air conditioning complements of a Vintage A/C system. On the roof, a clean and tight leather headliner stretches from the car's curved front window to its straight package tray. At the front of the cockpit, a pristine dash hangs Dakota digital gauges next to an original Wonder Bar looking radio, which isn't hooked up - but no worries, below that is an extremely modern Kenwood sound unit complete with speakers placed throughout the interior for some great sound while your driving down the road (the engine comes with it's own soundtrack for your listening pleasure as well.) The driver is connected to the road by a glossy, small-diameter Billet steering wheel that spins a full leather wrapped ring around a tilting Ididit column. Passengers can carry their essentials via a fully restored trunk complete with custom closure panels that match the interior door panels. The sale of this awesome resto-mod includes several component manuals and a small stack of build receipts.
