Originally produced in the Lansing, Michigan assembly plant, this A-body car has had a complete rotisserie restoration with an extreme attention to detail. Car is loaded with options including rare factory air conditioning, quick-ratio power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, and a power convertible top, and more.

Pop open the hood and nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay is the original numbers matching 400 ci Rocket V8 with 62,575 original miles. Of course, it carries the correct 396026G casting number as well as the correct 33M377282 partial VIN stamped engine number meaning this is the original motor this car was born with.

The factory correct (Code A) Ebony Black paint is perfect and looks like it's a mile deep. It's accented with beautiful, hand-painted, burgundy pinstripes to match the correct burgundy interior. All of the chrome, stainless trim, emblems, etc., is in show condition. The power top works flawlessly as well as the power windows. The fully restored trunk is correctly outfitted with fresh spatter paint, a new hound's-tooth mat and correct spare tire and jack. The car comes with brand new wheels just purchased from Coker Classic as well as a new convertible top and an upgraded JVC CD AM/FM radio head unit. If that's not your style, the original radio faceplate is included in the sale.

1968 was the first year for side marker lights and the last year for vent windows on hardtops and convertibles. It was also the year for the unique rear bumpers with exhaust cutouts and special exhaust tips. This 442 is a GREAT top-down driver car for this coming summer car show season.
